Roopu are important at Kerikeri Primary School. They promote our KORU values of Kia Kaha, Respect and Responsibility and Understanding and Accepting. They also develop kotahitanga and whanaungatanga across the school. Through our Roopu students develop communication, problem solving and teamwork skills to achieve success, all skills critical for their future.
All Kerikeri Primary School students are placed in a Roopu on enrolment. Our Roopu are named after significant landmarks of our local iwi, Ngati Rehia. Kerikeri Primary School’s four Roopu are: Te Pou o Manako, Kororipo, Pokaka and Wairoa. These are identified with the colours below. DD Gold have T shirts available as an optional uniform item. Please contact them if you would like to purchase one for your child, ph 4071527
During each term a number of Roopu events are held where the students engage in a variety of activities from across the curriculum. Activities are focused on our students learning new skills and knowledge together in a supported environment.
